There is no way they could not find another place to put this center. Not every Muslim speaks Arabic so why would they move to america without knowing English? That would not be a smart choice

Think about it from a Muslim's point of view. How much hatred they would get. The community center's purpose was to bring safety to Muslim's but they would probably get double the amount of hatred due to the location they chose. NOt only are we helping the Americans, but Muslims too.

2 blocks is equivalent to about 100 meters, tell me how that is not close?

Maybe not all muslims are terrorists but regardless, the mosque was meant to be a victory monument, to show power. The fact that they had to put it right next to the tragic incident that their relatives caused. They want to show that they have no fear in claiming what they did which is cruel.

Affected in what way, discrimination? Look at the others who have been affected, 2,977 people dead from this attack. Think about how many families had lost loved ones. 500,000 Muslim's may have been affected but how many died? 10, maybe 20 or so compared to 3000.

The muslims have over thousands of mosque's build in the US so what made them feel so unsafe if they could have just built it in a different place?

Argument #3:

The Ground Zero Mosque could be a target of attack for Anti-Muslim extremists. Al-Qaeda tends to aim to kill Muslims, so if the community center is built, the terrorist group would probably revisit the area. Another example would be when a pastor from Florida threatened the community that if the Ground Zero Mosque was built at its planned location, he would burn 100 Quran.

1st Argument:

The Ground Zero Mosque would be like a victory monument. Since the 9/11 attack was made by Al-Qaeda in the name of Islam, building the center would be assuming that the attacked land is claimed by the Muslims. There is even more evidence related to the Ground Zero Mosque being a victory ground. The center was going to be named the Corboda House. Corboda is a city in Spain which was conquered by the Muslims. The name “Corboda House” symbolizes the victory the Muslims had in Spain and comparing it to the 9/11 attack.
