3rd Argument:
For every execution that occurs, it reduces number of people murdered in the following year, by approximately 18. If there are less executions, the following year has ~18 murders more per execution.
2nd Argument:
The Supreme Court says people who haven’t murdered others shouldn’t be sentenced to death. Prisoners who are sentenced to death have ended a life or more before. They receive what they give. It is an equal punishment to their crime.
First of all, I do not understand your 2nd statement. How does shooting people with guns relate to the death penalty? Also, if you are stating that death penalty basically violates human's right to live, did you think about the actual innocents getting murdered by the criminals? The normal and innocent people deserve more right to live than the murderers. Using safe drugs or any type of punishments for death penalty does not really violate the right to live.
It's very unlikely for the innocents to get killed. Also, the death penalty cases are heavily monitored. It takes a long time, so it's always possible for the innocent to verify that he or she is innocent. If proven innocent, the people can be exonerated. 10% of the death penalty criminals are exonerated; this means that most of the death penalty criminals are guilty, and it's very rare or unlikely for the innocent to get killed, if the innocent fails to prove that he or she is not guilty.
Opening Statement:
How would you feel if your family was murdered, would you forgive the murderer or want him dead? We believe that the death penalty does not violate the 8th amendment, and should be allowed. Our reasons are the safe execution procedure, the criminals that can receive the death penalty, and how executions reduce murder.
